Pink Is My Favorite Color

blog...

I’ve got a lovly bunch of coconuts…

Yeah, yeah no complaining. It’s going to be a rough few months to come, maybe I’ll have the comic up in Jan. I’m hoping when I go up to houston to help paint I can get alittle done on it.

In other news, I have become frustrated with my artist block. So I did what was recomened for artist block, reading. So I picked up a book on symbolism I’ve been meaning to read. Aparenty that did the trick. Afterward I opened up ArtRage and doodled about, and produced a half deceant picture. Yay me.

So I’ve been playing the game Little Big Planet, where everything looks like it’s made out of cardboard at a cheap theater show with sack-boys. Chains holding floating props and all. So the sets and the humor remind me of Monty Python, got to love the cross-dressin britsh. I love it, what can I say I find it funny. So with that said this game is interesting, I like it.

And the secret game I’ve been playing, don’t get your panties in a wad, it was world of Warcraft. I don’t see the big fuss about this game. God, after an hour I set it down with no problems. Not sure if I’m going to keep it, still thinking about it. At lest I can jump on it and mindlessly kill things while I read Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

I r haXorz!

So I’ve been playing around with virtual computers on my big desktop, guess I don’t have an excuse anymore not to play with server OS’.  So one of these days I really need to organize my files.  Maybe I’ll do that during work (got to love being paid to goof off) since I have a VPN set up.  But hey I’ve been sticking to my schedules better now.  Have a little more done on the one sprite I have been working way to long on.  I think once that one is done the others will go much faster since I’ll use that one as a base.  On the painting side of things the next painting is coming along, though are always slow.

Shit….. Just ran out of space again on my main hard drive…. damn I install way to much stuff.

Gaming goodness:

Too Human - love the blend of cyberpunk and norse legend, so far the combat is good.  Suffers from long cutscene syndrome but hey I can forgive it.

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 - Picked this up cause I get to hunt monsters, I find rending their fleash to get money kinda cool too.  Got to make them moneys.

World Ends With You - JRPG, kinda mixed on this one.  Its interesting to play but its no FF7…  Great for waisting time.

Spore - So this game was addicting for a week, nothing seems to hold my attention for long.  Not my ADD kicking in just I pretty much can set a game down and not pick it back up for weeks at a time.  But anyway its a good game interesting concept, especialy love space.  In creature mode I got mad at all the other creatures for not liking my dance so I just kills zim all!

Mass Effect - Good not long cinimatics so far.  Might turn into a very good RPG.

Sims 2 - Finaly picked this one back up after I bought all the expantion packs. Got to love controling peoples lives.

So since I have proven time and time again that I tend to not get addicted to things I’m going to try something that everyone has said to be highly addictive.  I’ll report back my findings.

Movies:

Fifth Element -  God, this is my favorite movie and yet I have never owned it.  So I finaly bought it.  Bada Boom fuckers.

Procrastinators unite, tomorrow…

So ever since the damn hurricaine that destroyed alot of shit, I havn’t realy gotten back into the grove of things. In other words I’ve been a lazy ass.  Mind you I have put together a secure vpn pipe to my computers at home so I can access them from my labtop anywhere I go.   I have also set up a virtual machine 2003 server and xp.   Been playing around with different themes for my desktop.  So I havn’t gotten to lethargic.  Just havn’t been sticking to any schedual or working on any art.

So heres the deal with there being no comic.  I am making sprites, yes sprites.  But not your 16 bit cartoonies from other comics.  My sprites are pre-drawn characters that I will be manipulating into the poses I want. Oh and guess what, my comic will actually have a back story now, what a shocker.  I’ll give more details about that later.  So I guess I go work on them alittle more.  I am a meat-Popsicle.

I dont feel like givin reviews this time.

edit: I had also reloaded my labtop, and was hoping I could get away with doing my art with some free programs instead of placing the resorce heavy photoshop on it.  Curse you photoshop your just to useful…. I’m installing it now.  Curse you.

So when I get a chance on new drawings I’ll be trying artrage, artweaver, gimp, and manga studio.  Mind you artrage and manga studio arn’t free but they are cheep.  Yes 50$ is cheep when you look at Photoshop CS3’s 600$ price tag… God I’m glad I bought photoshop while i was still in college.  I want to move over to the open source gimp, hate the name,  its the only program I’ve see so far that’s very simular to photoshop.

I think that’s the same cow…

So power went out… Ike you are a babalonian whore who should be taken out and flogged relentlessly for crimes against.. me. But you amuse me. As I sit basking in the soft glow of my electronic time waster (my DS), cause its the only thing that has power as you give Texas the blowjob from hell, I see sticks, branches, and whatnot go by. Then someone’s garage flys past. My my I am a sadistic person.

In other news I’m still working on the new look.

P.S. No garages were hurt during the making of this, well not by me anyway.

oh nooos…

Ok Well the next comic is going to be delayed, trying something new with my style.

Baroque - This one takes some getting use to but after I figured out the controls and that it is a random generated dungeon each time, its actually not that bad. Plus having to eat hearts and bones to stay alive is pretty cool too, it blends well with the sadistic side of me. Rusty swords and what not. Would be funny if I could use a spoon as a weapon, but alas there is no spoon.

XBox 360

RENTED Viva Pinata - I’m embarrassed to say this but this game has been so addicting, I have been romancing my pinata whores to make me more chocolate money goodness.  Gaming pimp hard at work.

Still waiting to be played:

Mass Effect
Too Human
Monster Hunter Freedom 2
World Ends With You

Anime

Bleach - Started watching this one again, think I left off at episode 154. Story is still going strong, though I wonder how long they can keep up the fighting on most episodes. Though as long as it doesn’t turn into another DBZ I’ll be happy. They should still show more Hitsugaya.

World Destruction - Watched the first episode of this, it has some promise.

Boo

Yeah so I’ve been busy the past few weeks. Mainly with studying for my security + cert, drawing a comic for you bastards, and trying to get better with my drawing and painting ability, I haven’t had much time to play the only MMORPG that I like: City of Heros/Villains. Sorry to all my friends on there.

Started Karate Saturday, I had alot of fun though trying to keep up with everyone else was a bit tough. I highly recommend anyone joining a dojo.

Just recently saw Dark Knight, might I say I loved this movie. I have not been a big fan of Batman, but this change in character from the past bullshit movies with the over hyped cliche villains and heros is a welcome change. Batman Begins made me set up and take notice that they have done something good with this series. I love how dark and sinister everything has become, more real to life. The characters were well developed and had a since of depth, something you don’t find all to often nowadays. Yeah anyone looking for a happy-go-luck movie where good always wins go somewhere else, to anyone else who wants to see that heros are human and can become the monster go see this.

My reviews:

PSP

RENTED Y’s: The Ark of Napishtim - Got bored way to fast with this, plus it was so cliche I almost wanted to go all seppuku and shit. Played it for a few minutes then couldn’t take it any more.

RENTED Astonishia Story - Almost as cliche as Y, but the dialog was better. Wasn’t expecting it to be a strategy game, but as with the first I got bored with an over fantasy world.

PS3

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction - I have enjoyed this game, usually with series games they tend to get worse but this one is good. Still playing it mind you, the characters are very quirky and fun. The worlds are beautiful.

Folklore - Picked this one up cause it has an interesting concept, having to go through the netherworld and rip out creatures souls to be your slave is always good in my book, plus having a darker setting always helps me liking a game.

Civilization Revolution - Ahhh feels nice to control little people and go kill everyone else who doesn’t bow down to you. Nice RTS, if your into that type game.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - I have been caught up in the VR, not really use to playing FPS, so I’m trying to hown my skills. But lining the VR dummies up and then shooting them with one shot is fun, not to mention pulling out the bazooka for some sadistic pleasure.

WII

Baroque - Inquisition still out on this one, I’ll report later. Caught my attention cause its has a dark setting.

Games I have yet to play that I own:
Mass Effect
Monster Hunter: Freedom 2
World Ends With You

Anime
Elven Lied - Blood in the first 15 seconds is a sure fire way to get my attention, it was an ok anime though there was underage nudity in this one. If it hadn’t been for that I would of thought better of it.

12 kingdoms - Started out slow but is a great series, to bad they havn’t finished it and probably won’t finish it. I like the concept of the unicorn creatures controlling monsters and every single monster being unique.

And as always vodka rates high on my list, have fun kiddies.

p.s.  The iphone is pretty cool too, it is very useful.

Why the art.

So you might wonder why I posted art, well it’s because I wanted to.

Maybe one day I’ll have more to say in this blog.

Website.

Yeah so I’m redesigning the site layout. Give me a moment…..
